Thank you for your participation and generous support of the Inaugural Canton Marathon. More than 5,500 people of all ages participated in eight events over three days, held June 15-17, 2012, in Canton and Greater Stark County, Ohio.  Athletes came from 41 states and three countries to participate in the marathon, half, team relays and 10K races.  More than 1,800 volunteers, sponsors, partners and vendors provided support to ensure a safe and successful event and thousands of spectators lined the streets to cheer on the runners.

Thanks to you--participants, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, partners, residents and spectators--the Inaugural Canton Marathon was a community-wide collaboration estimated to have an economic impact of well over $1 million on our local economy.  While the Canton Marathon will not take place in 2013 and dates for 2014 have not yet been scheduled, we continue to support the runners and walkers in our community and the many races and programs promoting a healthy Stark County and Northeast Ohio.
